Mathias Bankay received a degree in Experimental Physics from the University of Zürich (Switzerland) in 1991. He graduated with a PhD in Solid State Physics from the University of Zürich in 1995.

Mathias Bankay has extensive expertise in the field of Motion Capture and has used different technologies in research and application. Since 2019, he works as Key-Account Manager for Qualisys AB, a Swedish company specialized in camera based optical motion capture since over 30 years.
